Do Dinosaurs Still Exist?
Posted by: James Lewitzke in History, Random Question, Satire, SociologyI have been going back and forth between the pieces of evidence, yet am still unable to draw a viable conclusion.
Lets Examine the Evidence:
- There have been many sightings of large dinosaur-like monsters throughout history.
- Stories about modern dragons can be traced to as recent as modern-day Great Britain. Not to mention the various stories that have been told near Scottish Highlands, some even have evidence of their encounter:
- The Bible claims the Earth is only 6,000 years old or so (with the Book of Genesis). Yet we still find dinosaur bones lying buried in various fossil digging sites all around the world, such as the Badlands in Montana and the Flaming Cliffs in Mongolia, being two of the larger ones.
- On a side-note, there have also been many Japanese sightings of a very large, amphibious monster, devastating Tokyo and nearby communities. Here is the photograph to prove it:
(OK, maybe not so much that last point.) But still, mounds of evidence support the claim that Dinosaurs DO STILL EXIST and probably walk among us this very day.
I’ve been told that Santa doesn’t exist either. Go figure.
I think “st. nicholas” did exist, but i could be wrong.
Interesting article actually - seriously - it makes you wonder how ancient peoples who had no contact with dinosaurs (as far as we know) had so many images and ideas about dragons and similar beasts which are very similar to dinosaurs.
Nessie (aka the Loch Ness Monster) is very debatable. While people keep claiming that it does exist and that they’ve seen it, a few years ago they scanned the entire Loch using sonar to try and pick something up and they didn’t find any conclusive evidence that there was anything that large living there. The photograph you entered has often been discredited as an otter or bird and that it was therefore a hoax.
It should be noted by the way that the Bible makes no claims about the age of the Earth. Some people have used the genealogical records in the Bible to attempt to date the Earth and came to a figure of around 6000. Judaism is approximately 5700 years old - dated from when the religion began to the current day. People who believe in Creationism don’t always agree with the 6000 date but say that the Earth is probably around 10,000 to 15,000 years old.

Especially since the older civilizations didn’t have as advanced paleotechnology as we do in recent times.
I know the bible can’t say the earth is “exactly” 6000 years old, I’m not even sure if it had the same dating system back then as we do now, the number 6000 is just an estimate based on biblical records (in other words, it isn’t 4.6 billion years old).
Who knows, maybe the Flintstones isn’t as “Fictional” as we believe it to be

Sorry, but I guess I just don’t believe until I see it for myself. Firstly, I don’t trust anything that the Bible depicts. There’s evidence and there isn’t. Photographs that aren’t clear as day can not be considered as evidence. Even so, clear photographs (remember the garden fairies?) can be doctored.
Tribal people often have witchdoctors that believe so strongly in their religion that they will do anything to make others believe - that includes making loud noises. Additionally, how do we know what dinosaur x sounded like, when there are so many contradicting views on something as trivial as to whether T-Rex had feathers?
I am reserved at the thought of the existence of dragons. It’s hard to believe that if such creatures did exist, that humans would (at that time) would be able to kill them all.

Forgot to add, the Chinese culture celebrates dragons, so why don’t they still exist in China?

I’m not sure how they guessed what sounds dinosaurs make, but I’m thinking it’s similar to how modern-day birds and reptiles sound, and applying the voices to the dinos somehow.
Also, who’s saying Dragons don’t exist in China?

I haven’t seen any 20 foot long red, orange and yellow dragons greeting me (of the non paper maché human controlled type).
Not one bit of evidence has come in that dinosaurs still exist. All the evidence are of fossils that date millions of years ago. We are still finding them because there where lots of species of dinosaur living for over 60 million years.
With all the technology we have today, all anyone can come up with is blurry pictures of things that could easily be anything.
So all the reports and sightings aren’t “evidence” enough for you then?
………….hhhhmmmmmmm…….I think that there is a confusion between the beliefs of the scientist and in the bible…..
because the dinosaurs are born before christ isnt it?….why would God will make dinosaurs if he knows that the dinosaurs will destroy the earth…?Are dinosaurs fact or fiction…?Please dont question me…ok?I’m just a 10 year old girl…..Thanks for all….just asking….advance Happy New Year..!!!
Bea, I’m pretty sure that the dinosaurs weren’t planning on destroying the earth, on the other hand, if you believe in God creating people, and we are indirectly destroying the Earth, then why would God create US if we were eventually going to destroy the Earth?
It sounds like you guys are torn between believing what the Bible teaches to be true and believing what scientists say to be true. You have to look at the facts. Their is allot of scientific facts that support the Bible. History also supports it greatly.
Man wants tangible facts to believe in. The air you are breathing right now is invisible to the human eye but you know its there because your breathing it and the fact that scientists have proven that it is there. But yet we are so quick to believe that everything came about by random chance. We are so quick to believe a theory rather that look at cold hard facts. Look at it though, how could we have just “evolved” when we are so greatly complex in design? It leaves you wondering……who or what could have designed us.
Scientists say that man is just a random growth of organisms with no purpose. If that is the case then why is murder bad when we have nothing to live for. Its like Charles Darwin’s theory, ” survival of the fittest”. If this be true then why not let the old and the sick just die off???? This is what made Hitler such a terrible leader. He believed in this theory and took it way to far. I do not support this theory and I can’t believe anyone in their right mind would!
If dinosaurs do still exist then they will be found. I don’t know when or how but they will. Until then we just have to choose to believe or not to believe in them.
The thing you need to look at is animals as I am sure you know live in habitats. Growth of the animal is based on the size of its habitat. Take a fish for instance. If you put it in a little fish bowl chances are your fish isn’t going to grow to be a really big fish. But take that fish and let it live in your swimming pool and it will get pretty big. It is the same with dinosaurs, they loved swampy, land and greatly wooded areas. We have taken lots of their habitat away from them and replaced it with citys and freeways and etc… I am just putting the idea that they are just allot smaller now then they were back in the prehistoric time. A missionary in Africa was told be a local tribe about the “god bird” that lived in a nearby canyon. He went to investigate these strange beasts and took pictures of Pterodactyls the size of small prop-engined planes. He brought the pictures home with him and made a website. I can’t find it any wear on the Internet so I still don’t know if it actually happened. I guess he took it off because some scientists wanted his pictures so the could dispose of them. I don’t know if thats true or not. But wether dinosaurs exist or not it is yet to be determined.
I hope what I have said helps in anyway. lol

How can you say that you believe in oxygen existing when you say that evolution isn’t fact. Your belief in chemistry supporting your life is a scientific theory. Chemistry is a theory and it fits. Evolution is a theory and it fits. Gravity is a theory and it fits. Get my drift. Religion is a theory and it is up to the individual to decide whether it fits. I guess i similiar way to phrase that would be one can believe that we are able to breathe because of how our body uses the oxygen in the air, or how birds came from dinosaurs and they were buried that long ago cause of the theory behind dating techniques which are proven to be fact, or how you will fall if you jump out a 10 stoey window cause of gravity being a fact. you can’t pick and choose what scientific theories you wanna believe in and what ones you don’t. If you can’t accept evolution as fact, then you can just believe that god wants you to stay on the ground because it is his will for you to be there, and that you don’t really breathe “air” or “Oxygen” cause these are evil sorcery words and you are because god wants you to be. You can think that a flood killed all the dinosaurs and then once your done, believe it is in god’s plan for you to show his glory and greatness in the world by disproving all scientific theories with the physical action of flying. Then all us unbelievers will believe, cause you will be flying around saying see, god is real and science is wrong. So go to a very high building, get to the edge, and pray that your evangelical mission will save the souls of us all. JUMP!
I hate to tell you this Tom but evolution has nothing to do with gravity. Chemistry Has been proven right and evolution has been proven wrong so many times. Also where is all the fossil evidence we would find if this was true? Tell me that? Also those dating techniques have been proven wrong. There is lots of fossil evidence that supports a world-wide flood. Like sea shells in New Mexico. Explain these things to me please. And Also please research when you talk about a religion so you will know and understand what your talking about. Your going to believe you came from a fish and you have no perpose in your life? Are you?
okay as i see it we have had to of come from a creator if you sit back and really think about what we are and where we came from and that we are living on this planet that rotates in space it is real scary to think about. i mean where did space come from..? I get really full of anxiety when i think about it i mean all that scientist are going off of is a theory and new evidence comes along all that time that goes against that theory but gets pushed away because it dosent support the theory i mean in all actuality we really have know way of knowing because we weren’t there so y do people keep being taught or told that the world really is how ever many billions of years old the say it is and that the dinosaurs we extincted 65million years ago and the evolution is how we came to be i mean the story keeps changing . and how are we really to know how we think or perceive things is really how they are i mean we are all programed from birth to think in one way as in common sense that pertains to us as beings one this planet and in are society and how are we to know if we are wrong or not mabe we don’t know as much as we think we do about this world amongst we live on we could be completely wrong and i bet theirs more knowledge out there we don’t know about i mean are government doesn’t let us know more then they want us to know so even if theirs other life out there or we did live with the dinosaurs they wouldn’t let us know unless they had to i just have one question why do are school’s teach against the bible and god but the have us swear on a bible in court and we are one nation under god i mean obviously are four fathers knew enough about it to live by it but now there gone so they cant tell us how wrong we are to be trying to take religion out of schools or society i mean they must of knew something we dont and we know that jesus was real and that dinosaurs were real but why do we keep taking them out of contexts i mean have you ever wondered why that alot of are family crests have dragons on them and that dragons are mentioned in the bible i mean i doesn’t really matter all we know is they where here and know there not and the ones that might be left could really change the way we think if they start showing up but what we should really be focusing on is how to keep are planet alive and i am not a bible thumper or even a member of a church or a hippie or a vegetarian but i do know that faith in something like religion is a good way to get a feeling of complition and peace of mind so tell me why that is and why dose i feel good to believe in a creator like god if we all came from a blob of goo in the sea ….? i mean how dose that sustain peoples questions and curiosity do the evolutionists explain how the goo came to be and how it was after the dinosaurs ..? and was there any life here before that and what created the dinosaurs and why didnt any more come back when we supposedly did …? and one more thing if the say that little mammals that where burrowers and dwellers survived isn’t possible we did too and we really did live in the time of the dinosaurs but also if we came from goo after the dinosaurs wouldn’t the squirrels have drowned …? and why dose are ime go ad an bc …….?
Dinosaurs do really exist a thousand B.C. from now but you dont expect that they are still alive may i ask you a question have you seen a dinosaur? even me i did’nt see them because we people are not born yet see you dont have to laugh about it beause the fossils of the dinosaurs are still out there!

hey did you guys know that the word dinosaur hasn’t even been around that long? A Scinentist named Sir Richard Owen invented that word in 1842. so people calling them dragons and monsters in the Bible and other history texts proves something doesnt it?

I have a strong believe in dinos…………..if crocodiles survived, fishes survived, then whay can’t those powerful dinos……..comeon eccept it……………so many sightnings, all of them can’t be fake dude……..DINOS STILL EXISTS, BUT MAY DIE SOON.
