Does Spam Die if you Freeze it?
Posted by: James Lewitzke in Random Question, Satire, SpamAs I was looking at some of Forrest’s Winter Photographs, a thought crossed my mind earlier (don’t ask me where it came from, as I may have a tendency to think of random things at any given moment). What would happen if we could freeze all the spam we receive?
Now, I know that spam is cold to begin with, but if we were to place it in a really cold place, how long would it survive for?
I think that if we somehow freeze the spammers capabilities of creating spam itself, then we could put an end to it. I realize this is a huge undertaking, and am not exactly sure what would be required do perform such a daunting task.
I leave those thoughts up to you ![]()

It would require every thing you post, email do to be moniterd and really thats the only way to completely destroy spammers..

Ahhh….
Now I think I understand. In order to kill off all the spam, you have to destroy the internet, every email application, along with just about any computer that’s ever been infected with spam.
Am I right?
If you could build a weather controller device, you could make it so cold spammers can’t feel or move their fingers, making it impossible for them to operate their spamware.
Does the junk mail that comes on glossy paper telling me about sales at stores I never go to count as spam? Maybe spam by snail mail? If destroying the internet wasn’t enough to kill all the spam, this deep freeze idea might be a great backup plan.
There’s this idea that the ‘net means anyone can get rich by having a web site … and somehow that makes people loose sight of everything else.
I like the idea of controlling the spammers’ environment to eliminate all their weapons. The type of weather-controlling device I had in mind may be slightly different though.
Perhaps if we could create a network of perfectly synchronized timed freezes, we would severely disrupt the spammers’ sources (their brains), and perhaps even kill the beast’s leader in the process :).
I have thought about that junk newspaper, telemarketers, etc. too. For example I got a letter in the mail pertaining to my website (yes, this one, lightningshock), and I haven’t even given out my address specifically (DAMN OFFLINE SPAMMERS!).
I’ll be writing a post about it in the future too, as soon as I can get my photos to upload properly.
I love the idea about disrupting the ultimate source of the spam … but do you think spammers really have brains?
Are you uploading the photos directly into wordpress, or hosting them somewhere else and using them here?
Half a brain is still a brain, Forrest
Actually, I took some photos and put them on another computer in my house, and tried emailing them to myself, but never got the message for some reason. So I should be alright once I can get them onto my web server eventually (with my current hosting company)
