The type of weather-controlling device I had in mind may be slightly different though. Perhaps if we could create a network of perfectly synchronized timed freezes, we would severely disrupt the spammers' sources (their brains), and perhaps even kill the beast's leader in the process :). I have thought about that junk newspaper, telemarketers, etc. too. For example I got a letter in the mail pertaining to my website (yes, this one, lightningshock), and I haven't even given out my address specifically (DAMN OFFLINE SPAMMERS!).
