After spending tons of fun trying to solve different riddles over at Webmaster-Talk, I decided to take my skills to the next level, and design some puzzles of my own, specifically for website owners and developers.

The site consists of five different puzzles. Finishing each will allow you to move onto the next one. The rules are fairly simple in that respect.

You do not need to have an understanding of HTML, Javascript, or any other coding language to complete the quiz, although they can certainly help.

Take the Great Webmaster Puzzle Challenge Today!

Also, tell me how it went for you, and what you liked and didn’t like about the test:

  • Were there enough challenges?
  • Any advantages or disadvantages you could spot?
  • Was it simply too easy?

Comment below and tell me about your experience with this new concept I came up with over the past week.

It was really easy until I got stuck on the fourth page…

Thanks for the feedback Paul,
I assume you solved it eventually then… or would you like a clue for that puzzle?

I wanted it to become harder as it you progress throughout the challenge. Were the hints too obvious for the first few? Would you still have solved them as easily if I gave less info?

The fourth one slowed me down a bit. As for the others, the answer was written pretty plainly in the source.

Good Point, Matt.

I was thinking about hiding the code in some server-side scripts if I were to write my next, more advanced puzzle.

I’ll probably also do some encrypting to make sure the source doesn’t interfere with the challenge of the puzzle next time too.
